Let’s face it: summer weddings are beautiful.  They are usually accented with bright colors – pastels – and usually feature some kind of exotic locale theme or actually take place in an exotic locale.  As lovely as summer weddings are, more and more brides are opting for different times for their wedding to take place.  Holding a wedding during the fall is becoming a more popular option day by day. With the season fast approaching, let’s take a look at some fall wedding ideas.

First, think about your color scheme.  In the fall, it would be nice to accent your reception with some fall colors.  Nothing too gaudy (like Halloween orange) but use light browns, burnt oranges and light reds and dark yellows to add color to your banquet tables.  Getting married in the autumn is a wonderful reason to utilize these underused colors.  Brides should even consider the fall theme as a good color scheme for bridesmaid dresses.  Just imagine how beautiful the outdoor bridal party pictures will be!

Centerpieces should be the next element of your fall wedding.  Perhaps small bushels of apples or various squash would be a nice look for the table settings.  You could choose a selection of fall wines for the bar and give away a bottle at each table to take home.  You could even arrange a flower selection featuring fall colors like gold and burnt sienna.

Finally, choose your venue carefully.  Make sure the banquet hall is surrounded by woods that change colors during the season.  Your pictures will look gorgeous with leaves gracefully falling in a myriad of robust autumn colors around you and your closest friends and family.  If a fall wedding sounds right to you, don’t be afraid to utilize the color palette that is available.  Your fall wedding will be absolutely perfect!
